IN KOREAN FOLKLORE "BACK WHEN TIGERS USED TO SMOKE" EVOKES MEMORIES OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS. THROUGH THE AVENUES OF COFFEE AND BREAD, SMOKING TIGER LOOKS TO SHARE OUR KOREAN HERITAGE WITHOUT BARRIER. SO COME IN, TAKE A BREAK, AND REMINISCE ON THE TIMES WHEN.. "tIGERS USED TO SMOKE" Background On Shop: Smoking Tiger was first established in 2020 with the goal to create a space where people of all ages can come together to create shared memories and embrace cultural differences without barrier. Sharing our heritage is pivotal in our customer's experience. We do this through the use of interior design, music, and our crafted goods. We're grateful to be able to share some of Korea's iconic flavors such as Black Sesame, Yuzu, Korean Honey Oat and Mugwort; all throughout our pastries and drinks. For us, spreading Korean culture has always been our priority and is the core of who we are as a brand. We want to stay true to our roots and allow others to experience our culture in ways we know best: through specialty coffee and well-crafted pastries. As a young and driven team, we are passionate about serving our customers and giving a genuine experience to look back on. We strive to provide excellent service and build connections in every community we enter. We are excited for the future of Smoking Tiger and hope to create and share unforgettable memories together! Mission Statement: Smoking Tiger's mission is to share Korean culture through the lens of Coffee and Bread. This excites us because it allows us to explore new trends and revisit classic ones through our service, products, music, and merchandise. For the past 3 years, we've been blessed to work directly with farmers from Jeju Island as well as one of the oldest furniture makers in Korea to source and manufacture our in-store goods. We choose to invest extra time and money in these areas in order to share a taste of our roots with our expanding community. As we continue to grow Smoking Tiger, we hope to inspire people of all generations to never shy away from who they are and where they came from. As our company grows, Smoking Tiger's top priority will continue to be to live out this mission one coffee, one bread, and one customer at a time. Check-in Promo: Check in and get a free high five! Oh yeeaaah! Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: They're available for your needs Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Great place to catch up with your friends, and work/studying if you can block out external stimuli (patrons conversing around you, music playing in the background, ...etc.) Service: For the most part, service was pretty good. Barista was friendly and offered some great suggestions. I asked the barista how long is the brewing process for the cold brew, but she couldn't tell me how many hours it is. Pastry Of Choice: Didn't have any pastries that day, but noticed there wasn't much of a selection at noon. I was really intrigued by the cream cheese garlic bread/garlic cheese bread, but they didn't have anymore. I'll have to patronize the shop early in the day to have any luck on buying one next time. Coffee/Drink Of Choice: Note: Please make a note that if you request a drink to have no ice, they won't fill it to the top. 1) I deviated from the usual the drip coffee (black) that I order and decided to go with the tiger latte (brown sugar and frothed oat milk) and asked for less ice. The latte was quite solid. The coffee sleeve on the cup was pretty neat. Smoking Tiger Coffee & Bread For Thought: I would be open to come back again to hopefully try their drip coffee and their garlic cheese bread (plain or with cream cheese).

Wasn't sure what to expect when we walked in but was pleasantly pleased! This coffee / bakery shop seemed unassuming. The shelves were a bit bare with limited selection when we walked in a little after noon. Service was good. The staff were friendly and polite. We had the K pizza pastry, the chicken pesto sandwich and the bulgogi sandwich which was the bomb! The filling was so tasty and the bread was very good!!! The strawberry matcha was very good! It was by far the best I had. Will definitely be back for the bulgogi sandwich, strawberry matcha and to try other bread stuff next time!
